This blog is primarily about book reviews! Every now and again I do write a post that is a bit more personal (but still about books) but generally if you want to know more about me as a person, check out my other blog.
The plan is to attempt to review every book I read, but I am a big re-reader. Books tagged 're-read' are not necessarily ones I have read and reviewed, just books I have read before.
I am also new to this book reviewing thing! So if you have any constructive critisim about ways I can make my reviews more useful and/or interesting please let me know. All comments are personally my own (or my daughters' if they do a review which they are talking about doing). As much as I love to read, there are always going to be books I don't like. So, I re-iterate, opinions expressed are my own! I will be honest. However, I will also try and give enough information that if it sounds like your sort of book you can still check it out.
Genre-wise, I read most things but I particularly love chick lit, contemporary fiction and historical books. Every now and again I go through a stage of really liking another genre and go on a massive reading-spree of those. I also collect early 20th century girls' stories, especially school stories and Girl Guide stories so lots of these get reviewed too.
Finally, I have primary-school aged daughters who not only like to read, they also like me to read books they are enjoying. So expect some of those! When I review these I try and give an indication of what I thought of the book as a parent as well as any opinion expressed by whichever of my daughters read it.
